PCSHS Welcomes Regional Delegates of WorldSkills ASEAN Manila

Pasay City South High School welcomed regional delegates of the WorldSkills ASEAN Manila on August 29 with a lively program at 8:30 a.m. themed “One School, One Country.”
Hosted by Ms. Mary Ann Garcia, the event featured cultural dances by PCSHS students and a special song-and-dance performance from ASEAN participants. Representing Principal Dr. Felina Patagan, Dr. Basilisa D. Tomimbang, PSDS Cluster 8 delivered an inspiring message, emphasizing that the gathering was not only an exchange of best as a subject. Another is the Bartending Laboratory where pastries and drinks were handed out to all delegates, maximizing hospitality and service trained in the TVL Strand. practices but also a celebration of unity and a shared mission for quality education. “This gathering is more than an exchange of best practices — it is a celebration of our shared commitment to quality education and the holistic development of our learners. The theme ‘One School, One Country’ reminds us that while we represent different institutions, we are united as one nation in our mission to nurture the minds and hearts of the Filipino people,” Dr. Tomimbang added.
Delegates from various regions and Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto also graced the occasion. After the program, school heads and student guides toured the visitors around PCSHS facilities, showcasing the school’s learning environment. The celebration highlighted collaboration, culture, and camaraderie—proving that at PCSHS, we are truly one school, one country.
Lastly, they ventured in the Digital Hub. Featuring the TV monitor used for conferences, meetings and defenses and a robot battle showcase. All guests had a great time in seeing all the facilities and notes that the future of learning is continuous and always evolving.
The students engaged in viewing the facilities of PCSHS, notably the Learning Resource Center, Digital Laboratory, various Home Economic Laboratories and ICT Laboratories, specially the Animation Lab and iMac Lab. The short tour was conducted by four representatives from the school. Showcasing the best features the institution has to offer. As they were touring, different activities and content was featured. Delegates took interest in the Animation Lab, where students hone their skills in animating
