DIGITAL HUB TOWN HALL

The institutionalized partnership between Pasay City South High School (PCSHS), Telstra Foundation Philippines (TFP) and Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) commenced its first Digital Hub Town Hall last May 19, 2023 at the PCSHS Digital Hub. Mr. Benjamin Romualdez, TFP President and Country Manager, Mr. Elvin Ivan Uy, PBSP Executive Director, Ms. Jen Rendell together with the TFP board of trustees and PBSP volunteers graced the event with their presence. Mrs. Emilia L. Tolentino, principal IV delivered her heartfelt thanks for the continuous support extended to the school and to the learners from these respectful stakeholders.
Ms. Jen Rendell also shared her expertise and experiences to the learners which encouraged them to become more dedicated as a STEM student as they embark for their future careers and opportunities. As part of the event, the learners presented their research works in front of the audience – stakeholders. Arvin Carlo M. Senador showcased his group SIP entitled “Time – Programmed Current Terminating Arduino Uno Based Device with Relay Module in Solving Phantom Load”. Numan C. Alam presented the product based SIP on “Utilizing Mycellium Grown on Rice (Oryza sativa) rice Straw, Sugarcane (Saccharum officinarum) Bagasse, and Sawdust for Eco – friendly Mushroom Insulation Development in Building Application”. Andrei R. Escotillon highlighted his team research work on combating water shortage entitled “The Feasibility of the Water Purifying Properties of Apple, Banana, Tomato Peels as Additives to the Charcoal-Sand Water Setup”.
Mrs. Editha F. Alimbuyuguen, subject group head for STEM presented the potential implications of the digital hub to the school while Mr. Remart A. Balingit, Teacher II and Mrs. Mary Ann E. Garcia, Master Teacher I showcased their STEM journey.
