Pasay City South High School led by Mrs. Emilia L. Tolentino, Principal IV, as supported by Assistant Principal II, Dr. Mark Anthony F. Familaran, the TVL –ICT Department and in partnership with PBSP, Telstra, and UPNismed, has successfully conducted a scholarship training with the theme “SKILL STACKS: Coding Program to Create a Mobile App to Help the Schools or Community”.
Ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon ay nagpalabas ng School Calendar and Activities sa Taong Panuruan 2022-2023. Bilang pagtalima sa kautusan ng Kagawaran, ang Pasay City South High School ay nagsagawa ng mga sumusunod na gawain:
The partnership program between Pasay City South High School and TELSTRA Philippines Foundation through Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) has progressed to its fourth year of helping STEM students to develop and enhance their research skills. The STEM UP Year 4 culminated last June 24, 2022, in a physical event after two successive years of holding the celebration virtually. The event was graced by some of the significant people from the SDO Pasay City, represented by Dr. Loreta B. Torrecampo, CESO IV, Schools Division Superintendent, Telstra Philippines President, Mr. Benjamin Romualdez, and PBSP Executive Director Mr. Elvin Ivan Uy. Parents of the STEM students were also present as well as some of the alumni of the STEM UP projects in the previous years.
As part of the generation who grew up with fast food and canned goods, eating right is a huge obligation. According to the Harvard School of Public Health (2015), half the content in our plates should be filled with healthy foods such as vegetables and fruits. However, due to the costs and the abundance of choices, the regulatory amount of healthy selections are often not followed. To minimize the effect of this problem, the project “Gulayan sa Pamayanan” was launched at Pasay City South High School in Partnership by the Department of Agriculture, Bureau of Plant Industry last January 2022.
March 8 is marked every year as the celebration of International Women’s Day worldwide, and Pasay City South High School (PCSHS) has been observing this significant celebration along with the other people, particularly the women in the whole world as a manifestation of its support and recognition of the significant role of women in the development and progress in the society.
No dream is unattainable for someone who has the desire and determination to pursue and achieve her goals. Our colleague Dr. Basilisa D Tomimbang, the newly installed Public Schools District Supervisor of the Division of Pasay, is the best example of this.

Last February 21-22, 2022, the selected Grade 11 STEM students of Pasay City South High School were able to receive complete set of learning materials through the TELSTRA Foundation Philippines (TFP). The strong partnership of TFP and PCSHS STEM Senior High School Department under the STEM UP Program Year 4 Project is a collaborative initiative to provide students with learning equipment that can help them continue their studies despite the challenges brought by the educational shift in the New Normal setting.
Pasay City South High School (PCSHS) has recognized the importance of Midyear Semestral Break Virtual In-service training for Teachers as included in DepEd Order (DO) No. 29, s. 2021, otherwise known as the School Calendar and Activities for School year 2021-2022. In view of this, the Pasay City South High School conducted the Semestral Virtual In-Service Training (V-INSET) last January 31, 2022, and February 2-4, 2022, with the theme “Achieving Greater Heights through Academic Resilience”.
Not resting on its laurels, Pasay City South High School’s Project STEM Up Year 3 and Project SiLAW (Simplified Learners’ Activity Worksheet) were hailed as among Pasay-SDO’s 2022 School’s Best Practices and Exemplary Schools Monitoring, Evaluation and Adjustment (SMEA) Team, respectively.

The Southenian Integrity Crusaders (SIC) is the Campus Integrity Crusaders (CIC) organization of Pasay City South High School under the office of the Ombudsman. The SIC club joins the Campus Integrity Crusaders in promoting Honesty and Social Responsibility through its implemented activities. With the project title: SIC AIMS: Aktibong Isinusulong ang Maunlad na Sambayanan, the SIC bagged its second award as one of the the Outstanding Campus Integrity Crusaders in the National Capital Region held last October 27, 2021 through virtual ceremony.
Muli nanamang napatunayan ng Southenian Community ang kanilang galing at talino sa pamumuno ng mahalal bilang Pangulo ng Supreme Student Government Federation of Pasay si ISIAH JENDRIC B. DEHESA. Siya ang kasalukuyang Pangulo ng Supreme Student Government ng Pasay City South High School at isang Grade 12 Student mula sa STEM Strand. Ito na ang ikalawang taon na nakuha ng paaralan ang pinaka-mataas na posisyon sa pederasyon matapos ang panalo ni Yngrid Kurei Factuar noong nakaraang taon.
National Science and Engineering Fair (NSEF) 2020 standout Christian M. de Guzman hailed as first-ever SanaySci Grand Winner at Week-Long Accomplishments and Culminating Activity of Special Projects of Department of Science and Technology-Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) last July 30, 2021.
March 11, 2020, Mark John Castillo, a STEM graduate nurtured from Pasay City South High School achieved what many of us dreams of accomplishing, arrived in Korea, for he was one of the chosen scholars of the Global Korea Scholarship program granted to 4 selected students in the Philippines.
Pasay City South High School bagged another accomplishment as the school ranks number one with the most registered students and active learners in IBM’S OPEN P-TECH Program beating over 96 participating schools in the entire National Capital Region.

July 16, 2021 marked an unforgetable event to 644 completers of Pasay City South High School. Amidst pandemic, the 338 Boys and 307 Girls succesfully finished their Junior High School studies through blended online and modular learning.

Brigada Eskwela will deviate from the usual activities in the previous years, instead it will prioritize preparations and strengthening partnership engagement to ensure that quality education will continue despite the challenges posed by the pandemic that has wreaked havoc not only in the country but the entire world.

We celebrate this year’s Nutrition Month with the theme "Batang Pinoy, Sana tall...Iwas stunting! Iwas All din sa COVID 19!" in the campaign to promote awareness and to mobilize actions to address stunting or “pagka-bansot.” Through adequate and proper nutrition, this theme calls for a collective vision of having taller Flipino children and by preventing stunting.
